Where Can I Pay SSS Employer Contribution Offline?

Before online came into existence, an offline payment channel came first. It’s a traditional way of paying your SSS contributions. Moreover, it is done through various SSS branches in the Philippines, any partner banks of SSS, or non-bank collecting partners.

Even today offline payment channels do exist in the Philippines. It’s because some employers aren’t yet used to knowing how to pay SSS employer contribution online. Thus, over-the-counter payment channels are still available nationwide.

1. SSS Tellering Branches

Your nearest SSS branch is a channel where you can pay your SSS employer contributions. Even though SSS encourages online payments, they still cater to those employers who prefer to visit and pay in the branch.

Below are the SSS branches you can go to pay your contributions.

In fact, the SSS President and CEO encouraged the employers and members to maximize the use of online channels in paying SSS contributions.

“We encourage our members and employers to pay their contributions using our online channels as through these payment facilities, they no longer have to go to our branches. These can be accessed at the safety and convenience of their homes or offices.”

– Michael G. Regino, SSS President and CEO (and Vice Chairperson)

SSS Contribution Schedule and Table for Employers

Before we dive into how you can pay your SSS contribution, it’s important to know your contributions and payment due dates.

Based on SSS Circular No. 2022-033, contributions for the year 2023 increase from 13% to 14% which will be shouldered by the employers (ER) as reflected in the table below.

As to the schedule of payment, employers can pay their contributions at the end of the month following the applicable month or period. Also, you can find the payment due date from your generated payment reference number which will be discussed further as you continue reading.

How To Pay SSS Employer Contribution Online

1. Pay SSS Employer Contribution Using PRN

PRN means Payment Reference Number. It’s the SSS system-generated number that serves as a reference to pay employer contributions. It applies for both offline and online of paying contributions. Furthermore, PRN has been mandated by SSS as part of its Real-Time Processing of Contributions (RTPC) program which took effect last April 1, 2021. Through this program, SSS ensures that all payments made by its members are instantly recorded in their records and enables members to immediately begin receiving benefits as SSS members.

To pay your SSS employer contribution online with PRN, you just need to log in to your SSS employer account and generate your respective PRN.

2. Sample Process of Payment through BPI Bizlink Channel

Step 1: Log in to your sss employer account with your user ID and password.

If you haven’t registered yet, go here. Make sure to supply the needed information.

Step 2: Go to the PRN or Payment Reference Number menu and choose contributions.

Step 3: Check the employee list by clicking the Collection List Details. Make sure that all necessary details are updated and correct. If there are new employees to be added, click Add Record and put their information in the corresponding fields. Also, if there are employees who are not with the company anymore, remove them from the list by choosing Terminate as remarks. Then, indicate their separation dates.

Step 4: After verifying the list of employees,  go to Collection List Summary to finalize it. Next, click Prepare Collection List and you will be redirected to the PRN page where you can download the document. The PRN System automatically calculates the corresponding SS and EC Premium. Simply modify the Monthly Compensation for the employee’s row if the employee’s pay has increased or decreased for the current month.

This is what the Payment Reference Number document looks like which includes the Payment Reference Number, the Total of Your Payable (SS and EC Premium), and the Employees You Are Reporting Under That PRN on the following page.

Step 5: Log in to your BPI Bizlink account. As mentioned above, the use of internet banking needs to have an account with the chosen bank.

Offline or over-the-counter payment channels require you to bring the printed PRN document which serves as a reference for the transaction. Meanwhile, with online channels like the BPI Bizlink for instance, you just need to save the PRN document on your laptop or desktop.

Step 6: Go to Government Payments and choose SSS.

Step 7: Enter the PRN or Payment Reference Number and it will redirect to the payment page. You will know that your PRN is correct when it appears the exact amount found in your PRN document.

Step 8: Click Submit to route approvers of the payment process.

Note: BPI Bizlink illustrations or images are only for sample process purposes and there’s no promotion included.

There you have it! Paying your SSS Employer Contribution online is easy once you know how. Furthermore, SSS encourages its members to pay their contributions through the various online channels mentioned above rather than visit one of their branches in the Philippines to do over-the-counter transactions.
